Work Camp volunteers build ramps, repair porches and steps, paint exteriors and interiors, and make some ceiling and roof repairs.  New skirting is installed on mobile homes as needed.  Smaller jobs include clearing debris from yards and general lawn maintenance.  Some Work Camp groups conduct Vacation Bible School for children in the community.  Other groups work at senior centers or food pantries.

Housing is provided by host churches near the work sites.  Air mattresses and sleeping bags transform classrooms into dormitories.  Work Camp groups have access to the church kitchen and are responsible for their own meals.  Shower facilities are provided.
