New Orleans Mission #5
"If you would like to put your faith into action in a very special way, you can do so by signing up to go to New Orleans and repair homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Yes, there is still a lot of work to be done and UMCOR still has a major presence along the Gulf coast. MUMC New Orleans Mission #5 will start early the morning of Saturday, January 17, 2009, and will end around mid-afternoon on Sunday, January 25. So get these dates on your calendar, check with your employer for vacation time, and look for a one-page detail sheet at the Disciples in Action bulletin board soon."

Mexico Mission
Pastor Scot will be going to the Monterey, Mexico area with some West Ohio Conference leaders to explore mission needs and the possibility of establishing a mission partnership with our church, conference and the people of that area. The longer term goal will be for Maumee UMC to be in ministry in this area on a regular basis – sharing Christ, helping, teaching, and building. His trip will be in the middle of January ’09 and will share his experience upon return.
