BibleLand Nursery Ministry
This ministry is available Sunday mornings during all three services.
OUR PRIMARY MINISTRY PURPOSE:
To provide avenues in which children can learn, grow, and form relationships with Christ’s love as the foundation. We strive to empower parents, adults, and caregivers to aid in the formation of each child’s faith life.
8:30 & 11am: Available for children, ages 4 months through 5 years (PreK)
9:45am: Available for children under 3 years of age. **Sunday’s Cool (Sunday school) is available for children 3 years (by Aug 1st) and above during this hour.
Our Cherub Room is for children ages 4 months through 2 ½ years. It is staffed by our paid caregiver, Karen Garrison as well as weekly volunteers.
Our Explorer Room is for children ages 2 ½ years through 5 years (PreK). It is staffed by our paid caregivers, Cathy Box and Stacey Underwood as well as weekly volunteers.
Outreach Opportunities from the Nursery Ministry:
*PDO (Parent’s Day Out): A day away for parents each week during the school year!! For children ages 4 months through PreK (5yrs)
*The “Storehouse”: If you have new/gently used young children’s items, please contact Kristin Miklovic. We may be able to take the items, store them, and pull from our storehouse as we see people in need of certain items!
*New Mom’s Bags: As an outreach to new moms, we enjoy delivering little gift bags as a way to let them know we care about them!!
Sunday Morning in the life of BibleLand Nursery…
(In both the Cherub and the Explorer Rooms)
* Parents check in their children and fill out the necessary information on our sign in sheets
*Caregivers give the parents a pager so they can be easily contacted if needed
*Children’s items are labeled and the children receive a nametag
(In the Explorer Room)
*Free Play
*Clean Up Song (Children sing, clean, and join the “cleanup train” over to our lesson area)
*Each week the children will learn a new Main Point Phrase.
For example, “God Created Everything!” This phrase is reinforced throughout the entire morning! We also sing and dance using songs related to our themes!
*Our “Good-bye” song is played at the end of our lesson time. There is a craft available that is related to the daily theme, but if the children decide not to do the craft, free play is also available.
*Snacks are provided for the children or parents can bring in snacks for their child if there are allergy concerns.
KIDS- Watch for Mr. Whiskers, our pet puppet mouse, to appear throughout the morning to reinforce the message for the day!!
